CombineNet was founded in 2000 to apply advanced optimization practices to the problems faced by procurement teams as they must combine all the data associated with a sourcing event with the numerous business constraints and preferences that go into making supplier award decisions. Many first-generation e-sourcing tools even today pose too many constraints on sourcing event setup, event size, the type of data that can be collected, and analytics. Following early successes with clients such as Procter & Gamble and Bayer, particularly for highly complex transportation and packaging material sourcing needs, CombineNet continued to expand on the capabilities of its technology to meet wider ranges of customers' sourcing needs.

CombineNet Today: The company holds 21 patents in the U.S. for our advanced sourcing and bid optimization methodologies, making our e-sourcing technology a strong competitive advantage for our customers. The company has been consistently recognized in supply chain industry awards for the benefits it generates for our customers and for our thought leadership. More than 70% of CombineNet’s customers are also customers of sourcing tools from SAP, Ariba, IBM, Oracle, and other procurement suites – selecting our solution to obtain more extensive capabilities and greater benefits.
