CombineNet Software Selected By Raytheon For Advanced Resource Allocation System

Deal Includes Purchase of ClearBox License and Consulting Services

 

PITTSBURGH, PA—June 11, 2001

CombineNet, Inc. today announced that it was selected by Raytheon to provide software for a next-generation satellite mission management system. The relationship includes a research license for ClearBox™ and expert consulting services. ClearBox, CombineNet's flagship software product, is a highly advanced back-end allocation optimization system now available for strategic sourcing, resource allocation and sell-side commerce.

ClearBox was selected because Raytheon was looking for a high-end system capable of optimally allocating satellite sensors to government user needs. Key attributes of the software chosen by Raytheon include:

  • Performance speed and ability to solve complex allocation problems
  • Robust management control system
  • Ease of integration and development
  • Combinatorial auction optimization expertise
