CombineNet Opens New European Headquarters

Veteran Sourcing Executives Head up Berlin-Based Subsidiary

PITTSBURGH, PA—August 19, 2004

CombineNet announced today it has opened a new European headquarters in Berlin. The new location gives the company expanded presence in Western Europe and introduces two seasoned sourcing managers, Thomas Andrae, the new Vice President and Managing Director for CombineNet's European operations, and Armin Scharlach, Vice President of Professional Services for Europe.

CombineNet's technology enables a richer buy/sell interaction that fits perfectly with companies whose supply chain relationships are well established," said Tony Bonidy, CEO of CombineNet. "We're very pleased to offer our advanced combinatorial optimization technology to more customers outside of the United States."

Under Andrae's direction, the new office will support an expanding European customer base and newly-formed European partnerships.

Andrae and Scharlach both bring a wealth of sales and consulting experience to CombineNet. Both executives have management experience from Emptoris, Ariba and PricewaterhouseCoopers in Europe, with Andrae also working in Telecom and Government services for Andersen Consulting.

CombineNet's London operations have been transferred to Germany.
