William "Gus" Pagonis Joins CombineNet Executive Board

Military and Logistics Experience Intertwine

PITTSBURGH, PA—September 7, 2004

Gus is a well-known industry veteran with an impressive background in both military logistics and the supply chain industry," said Tony Bonidy, CEO of CombineNet. William "Gus" Pagonis brings experience from his previous positions as executive vice president of logistics and president, Sears Logistics Services for Sears Roebuck and Co. At Sears Roebuck he was the single point of contact for over 2,500 stores and responsible for all supply chain functions including the flow of inventory from vendor to store, transportation, distribution, home delivery services, the integration of information services and international logistics.

Gus also served as a Gulf War logistics commander and was the single point of contact for all U.S. Army logistics, for which he earned a three star rank of Lieutenant General. He shares his experience and expertise through his bestseller, "Moving Mountains: Lessons in Leadership and Logistics from the Gulf War," and by frequently serving as a keynote speaker where he discusses two models he has developed to promote corporate success in logistics and leadership.

Gus is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University, earning both a bachelor's degree in transportation and traffic management and a master's degree in business administration (Operations Research). He now serves as the acting CEO of RailAmerica, Inc. and serves on the Executive Board for GENCO Supply Chain Solutions located in Pittsburgh, PA.
